Therapy for Trauma.

You’re in the right place.

Therapy for real life results.

Feeling trapped by your emotions? You want to feel in control of your life.  You want to move on from your past and live a life that’s free from trauma.

Trauma has a way of sticking around—sometimes as a quiet undercurrent, other times as a full-body response that catches you off guard. It can make the past feel like it’s still happening, like you’re constantly on edge, bracing for something you can’t quite name.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR therapy is a revolutionary approach to psychotherapy that was developed in the late 1980s by psychologist Dr. Francine Shapiro. It was initially designed to help individuals suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) but has since been found effective in treating a wide range of psychological conditions and emotional distress.

Somatic Experiencing

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a therapeutic approach that focuses on the body's role in processing and healing from trauma. Unlike traditional talk therapy, SE recognizes that traumatic experiences are also stored in the body. These unresolved physical sensations and emotions can lead to symptoms like anxiety, hypervigilance, and chronic pain.

By integrating body awareness with emotional processing, SE offers a holistic approach to healing that honors the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit in the journey toward recovery.

You will learn to tune into your body’s sensations and physical responses to traumatic memories or triggers. Through gentle guidance and attunement, I support you in safely exploring and releasing these stored sensations. This process allows the nervous system to gradually regulate and discharge the pent-up energy associated with the trauma, promoting healing and restoring a sense of safety and calm.

By integrating body awareness with emotional processing, SE offers a holistic approach to healing that honors the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit in the journey toward recovery.
